The Oasis Stone

The Adventure Begins Here

When the Vents erupted, they fractured Ralvera into lands of harsh desert and blistering ice. Eternal plumes of ash rise from the fiery calderas of the Scorch Vents, and great leviathans slither over the mountainous glaciers of the Frost Vents. The last forests grow where they can, far from the shadows of the unnatural volcanoes. These are the Verdants, the only remaining fertile lands of Ralvera.

Mayve, a cutpurse from the desert city of Devar, has never known anything but ash, sand, and the sun's terrible heat. She works tirelessly to steal a better life for her and her mother, with grand plans to start anew where forests still grow and rain still falls. When a lucrative opportunity descends into nightmare, Mayve finds herself in possession of a strange artifact, sought after by everyone in Ralvera; the Oasis Stone

Hunted by savage raptors, the mighty Oaken Legion, and a masked volcomancer who bends shadows to his will, Mayve must choose: follow a destined path, to bring the Oasis Stone to the Great Seer and learn its true purpose, or use it to avenge the death of her mother. Grappling between prophecy and vengeance, her choice will have apocalyptic consequences.

The Onyx Mask

Face Your Fears

With the grand purpose of the Oasis Stone revealed and Zeteph's insidious plans already in motion, Mayve and Srrith find themselves with a singular goal—reach the rainthistle before the masked volcomancer. The plant is nearly extinct, the last of its kind sequestered away in the opulent greenhouses of Citadel Waldheath, and getting aboard the flying island is a daunting task all on its own. They have no choice; whoever reaches the rainthistle first will control the fate of Ralvera.

Raudius and Cindri, far from home and short on allies, are also out of options. Cindri refuses to return to the desert without his brother, Ingo, and Raudius seeks to redeem his name. He's found himself fighting alongside Mayve, the very thief he once swore to hunt down. The honorable path is long and arduous, and the Oasis Stone is tantalizingly close, dangling from the belt of his new traveling companion.

Swept into the depths of the Azrak Mountains after barely surviving the glint butchers, Eiklo finds himself following old footsteps. Long forgotten memories, once trapped in his hollow skull, now bubble to the surface as he walks where his living body once did. Traveling through ancient waterways and abandoned tombs, every step takes him farther from Mayve and Srrith, but closer to the fiery slopes of the Ysera Scorch Vent, where he just might find answers on who he used to be.

It Watches from the Cold

Death leaves no footprints as it stalks atop fresh-fallen snow. In the town of Wilhem, something murderous walks the white woods, killing as snowflakes fall and disappearing as they melt. The people of Wilhem only know one way to stay safe; close your curtains as tight as you can. If the monster can see in, it will stop at nothing to break inside.

It Watches from the Cold is Jack's first horror novel, still in manuscript form.
